JUNE 25, 2022
5:30pm - In-Person

We held a group conscience meeting on June 25th. Thank you to everyone who was able to come and participate in the process. After discussion and reflection, LTSG unanimously decided to make the following changes to the recommended sobriety lengths before standing for group service in the following positions:
Steering Committee chair –suggested sobriety changed from 2 years to 3 years
Treasurer –suggested sobriety changed from 3 years to 5 years
The group also decided by substantial unanimity to bring the suggested sobriety length and term of service of group’s Literature Representative in line with the Supplies Chair, balancing the need for experience in those positions with the importance of the AA principle of rotation of service:
Literature rep – suggested sobriety changed from 2 years to 6 months
In addition, the group elected Gwen D as our new Birthday Chairperson, and Paul G as our new Supplies Chairperson. Congratulations to LTSG’s newest trusted servants, and a heartfelt thank you to our outgoing birthday chair Denise C (we’re going to miss your homemade goodies!) and supplies chair David R (whose sobriety journey has carried him away from us and to the Ozarks, where we sincerely hope for the sake of his emotional sobriety that doesn’t run into Marty and Wendy!).
Finally, the group decided by acclaim that even though LTSG’s new Literature Rep position term of service has now been reduced to six months from two years, that we wanted existing Literature Rep Dmitry G to continue on in the current term. Thank you Dmitry! We are carrying a LOT of the message with all the books the group has been fortunate to distribute to newcomers this year.
All of the changes made at the June 25th group conscience are highlighted in green in the attached roster of current LTSG trusted servants.
